Our office is developing a pocket translator card to help visitors to Kenya learn some of the basics of Swahili. We plan to print the cards and ship them to Kenya for distribution to job insecure Kenyans. The cards can then be sold to tourists for 500 Kenyan shillings, about 50 cents Canadian. Hopefully the cards will provide a source of income and also encourage tourists to engage more deeply in the local culture with their newly developed language skills.
While on emergency call our practice sees patients from the Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) #12 which includes Barrie, Bracebridge, Collingwood, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Midland, Penetanguishene, and Wasaga Beach. We see elective medical and surgical patients from the Orillia area.
